We practice expository preaching. Every week we seek to expose the main point of the text as the main point of the sermon. This is done by preaching verse-by-verse through books of the Bible.

We Are Committed to the Word
Praying the Word
Whether we are gathered for a worship service or fellowshipping with one another, we are a people who depend upon the Lord. We count it a great privilege to come before the throne of God in prayer on behalf of one another and know that we will receive mercy and help.
Singing the Word
Our aim as we gather is to magnify the worth of God as we sing together. We want the Word of God to dwell in our hearts richly as we address one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. In so doing, we believe He is glorified and we are helped.
Hearing the Word
In our services we are devoted to the public reading of scripture. Scripture calls us into worship, leads us to confess our sin, assures us of grace in Christ, and sends us in peace. In every service at Salem, we want the primary voice to be God's voice, so we give ourselves to publicly reading the Word.
Seeing the Word
The Lord Jesus Christ has instituted two ordinances for the church to practice until He returns: baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe God has added these to our worship to represent the gospel to our external senses that we may behold its power and beauty. In this way, we see the Word.
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever.
